WASH is delighted to welcome painter, lecturer, and teacher Robert Dvorak to demonstrate for our November 11, 1:30 pm meeting. Robert has been a professor of architecture and also taught design, problem-solving, and communication skills including drawing, film-making, watercolor painting, and other media skills. Dvorak draws from a rich background of unusual experience for his presentations including: being a member of the moon shot design team for the vehicle assembly building at Cape Canaveral, working as crew on large sailing yachts in the Greek Islands, doing caricatures in Japanese nightclubs, making experimental films which have been featured in film festivals worldwide, and traveling in 69 countries making drawings, watercolors, and speaking. These are just a few of his adventurous experiences. Robert has written and illustrated Dancing With Ghosts by Maura Madden-Donovan, Award of Merit, 2019 Member Showbooks on drawing and painting: Travel Drawing and Painting, The Practice of Drawing as Meditation, Drawing Without Fear, The Pocket Drawing Book, The Magic of Drawing, and Experiential Drawing. Many of Robertʼs paintings are in corporate and private collections, including The Bank of America, Del Monte Corporation, the Vanderbuilts, and more.”Robertʼs presentation will be titled “Travel Drawing and Painting” and is sure to be informative and entertaining!
