Covid 19

Updated COVID 19 orders went into effect at 11:59 AM on May 22.

The California Department of Public Health has given approval to Sacramento County to move forward with Stage 2 - re-opening low risk businesses - at a faster pace than some of the other counties that have higher infection rates. Sacramento County had to demonstrate that it has met certain benchmarks in order to be granted this approval. The updated order permits a number of businesses to open — with specific limitations required to maintain employee and customer safety. However, indoor museums and galleries, such as Sac Arts Center, are still prohibited from opening.

These new rules will continue to require employees and customers to continue to:

**  wear face masks

** stay 6 feet apart

** sanitize surfaces

** wash hands frequently

** avoid touching your face

** Stay at home if you have a fever or other COVID 19 symptoms.

The updated rules allows for greater movement by Sacramento residents as they can now get their car washed, get their teeth cleaned and their eyes examined, shop for a greater variety of goods, and eat at a restaurant. However, there are fairly strict rules that apply for most of these enterprises, AND, people over the age of 65, or who have serious medical conditions - are still cautioned to stay at home until Stage 4, which is when all limitations will be lifted.

Details about the updated order can be obtained at https://www.saccounty.net/COVID-19/Pages/default.aspx

In the meantime, the Sac Arts Center continues to move forward with online shows and planning for the time when we will be open for business once again. And though Sac Arts is closed for business at the Center, Angelia Gordon continues to work very hard to keep things moving. The best way to reach our office during this time is to email info@sacfinearts.org. Angelia will get back to as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Keep safe and stay well.
